| | |  Worm claims Harry Potter is dead
The computer worm called W32/Hairy-A has been spreading itself by copying onto USB memory sticks posing as a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Windows users who allow affected flash drives to autorun are automatically affected by the worm when it attaches to the PC. Quote:
"Seriously, the fact that this worm has been inspired by the tales of a fictional schoolboy wizard doesn't make it a harmless prank. A worm like this which infects and tampers with users' computers without their permission is committing a criminal act. Someone needs to get a little more sunshine in their diet and put their energies into a more positive pursuit than writing malicious code like this," said Sophos Senior Technology Consultant Graham Cluley.

I don't think it's fully that they don't have a life. It's the fact that they do it because they can and have no compassion for other computer users who don't have uptodate virus protection. There is a hushed theory that most of the virus' come from the ones who can write the remedy. So point your finger at losers who work for large organisations who make millions a year out of us lot buying virus software and paying for updates annually just so they can write more code. The in-justice of it all!!! Of course, I'm not saying they do, it's just a theory.  | |
