The Guardian have today published an article about the rise and fall of house prices in the UK, listing some of the most expensive places to live. They mention how much it'd cost to live near JKR. Quote:
If Harry Potter fans want to become neighbours with his creator JK Rowling, they will have to splash out an average £4,272,188 ($8,165,836.41) for a house in her street, property analysts said today.
The children's author lives on Earls Terrace in Kensington, west London, the most expensive street in England and Wales, according to a list compiled by Mouseprice.com.
The most expensive town is Virginia Water, Surrey, where the average price is £591,294.
The least expensive town is Ferndale, Rhondda Cynon Taff, where the average price is £29,693.

Wow that would certainly be cool to live in her neighbourhood!! It would still be cool to live in the neighbourhood next to hers, or pretty close.Without sounding rude but I guess the property agents would make a nice sum out of a house in her neighbourhood. I mean at one time the neighbourhood but not be well known, but now...

Er....impossible? That was my first thought when I read the headlines. And yet, it is possible. A very expensive possibility, that is.  I suppose you must be very, very, very financially successful (or...just extremely successful in... some... way) in order to buy a house that expensive in UK.

8 million dollars? LOL I don't even think we have houses in America that go for that price! Well, maybe if you went to Hollywood to live near the stars... maybe.
*sigh* It would be grand to live near her though. lol Not that I could go to England... I have knee problems where the weather makes it hurt. *sigh*
