Book magazine has nominated J.K. Rowling, among many other excellent writers, in their 'Greatest Living British Writer' poll. Quote: |

I couldn't decide between two of them, so was able to cast a vote for eash. JKR got one, Terry Pratchett the other. I would be absolutely ecstatic if either of them won, but they're fantasy writers and there is a terrible snobbish prejudice against fantasy and sci-fi which means they don't get awards, be it books or movies. | |
