Videos: Potter actors attend BAFTAs, Emma Watson receives Cambridge offer (UPDATE #6)
Emma Watson is tonight attending the Orange British Academy Film awards. Pictures of her on the red carpet are now online and can be seen here and below;
We suspect Emma will be presenting an award tonight. If she does, we will post a video of it as soon as possible.
The ceremony will be shown live on the BBC starting at 8pm GMT on BBC2 and switching over to BBC1 at 9pm.
UPDATE: Actor Brendan Gleeson (Mad-Eye Moody) also attended the BAFTAs, where he picked up an award on behalf of Martin McDonagh, who received 'Best original screenplay' for In Bruges. Brendan was also nominated for 'Best Supporting Actor' for his role in the same film but lost out to Heath Ledger for The Dark Knight. Photos of Brendan can be seen here.
UPDATE #2: Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) was in attendance at the award ceremony as well. He presented the award for 'Outstanding British contribution to cinema' which was given to Pinewood and Shepperton Studios for 75 years of service. He is photographed below:
UPDATE #3: Videos of Brendan and Emma on the red carpet can be seen here and below.
UPDATE #4: Emma Watson presented the award for 'Special Visual Effects' which was won by The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. While announcing Emma as the presenter of the award Jonathan Ross, the host for the evening, revealed that she has been offered a place at Cambridge university.
UPDATE #5: A video of Emma presenting can be seen below:
UPDATE #6: On the red carpet Emma Watson spoke to The Metro about the importance of the BAFTAs and her future plans;
Quote:
Emma said: "I love the Baftas. It's amazing. It's like a celebration of what I do so it's incredible. It's been fun getting ready, I've had my hair and make-up done and I got my dress.
"The Baftas are very important. For us here, we don't often have the support we need to get small British films off the ground so anything that promotes us, I think it's wonderful."
Quote:
"Obviously I'm looking at universities and reading lots of scripts and meeting with producers and trying to make a good decision about what my next move should be.
"I might be going to America - I'm looking at schools over there - but obviously I'm waiting to hear, to find out where I've been accepted and if I've been offered a place. So nothing's been decided yet."
Oooh! Emma looks so elegant and just plain gorgeous!
Woah I almost didn't recognize Brendan over there He cleans up nicely
And Jason Isaacs looks so handsome too
And Congrats on Emma on getting into Cambridge, that's amazing! I'm sure she'll get into the American schools as well

I want that dress...it's amazing and she looks so great in it. She did a great job presenting...you could tell she was nervous. I'm excited The Curious Case of Benjamin Button finally won something...it's an excellent movie.
