Oh wow, I saw it and absolutely loved it. The whole cast is just a phenomenal group of actors, I've seen many Broadway shows and rarely do you get a perfect performance where everyone is absolutley spectacular! 
That's so funny what he said about laughs from the Americans becasue they actually get it.....

I saw the show last weekend and it was AMAZING! Dan was amazing in his role, but what I think very few people talk about or even realize is how INCREDIBLE Richard Griffiths is in this performance! His delivery of lines and the way he carries the character put me at a loss for words. By the end of the first act, I found myself clapping so hard and so fast it was as if my body wasn't connected to my brain. Like I wasn't trying to clap that hard, but my body was doing it involuntarily because of how amazing the show was.
The dynamic between Daniel and Richard was perfect and both commanded such a presence on the stage that one didn't overshadow the other; instead, they complemented each very well. Brilliant casting and brilliant performances all around!
