Video: Rupert Grint talks CherryBomb in new interview (UPDATED)
Ice Cream Man has a short report from the Belfast set of CherryBomb, Rupert Grint's forthcoming film, which was aired on a local Northern Ireland television network earlier today.
Rupert was interviewed in the segment, where he talks about why he chose to do the film:
Quote:
“The challenge, and that it was also something very different for [me] as an actor.” The interviewer then asked him about the accent and he responded in the accent and they say he did a really good job with it.
Actor James Nesbitt, Rupert's co-star in the movie, had great things to say about the young actor:
Quote:
He said that Rupert is getting recognized everywhere and takes time to talk to everyone. He also said that Rupert is very talented.
When asked about the movie itself, Rupert was evasive, though did give a bit away:
Quote:
When they asked Rupert about the film he said that there was no happy ending and when also asked if he gets the girl in the end, he said “All I can say is, no-one gets the girl.”
Rupert also mentioned that he is enjoying his time in Belfast, where he has had "some very memorable nights out."

OMG OMG OMG. (:
I can't wait for this movie. FINALLY, Rupert is going to shine again! :]
Driving Lessons was so good, I was hungry for more.
XD Now it's coming! Yayyyyy.
Nice video. I can't wait to see the film. Rupert is an amazing actor.

Cool! This all sounds very interesting and I think Rupert kinda gave away the ending there although we probably could have guessed. I can't wait to see this movie. I'm so excited Rupert's doing something else and it will be as or more wonderful than Driving Lessons which was fabulous.
surprising that everyone's recognising Rupert, he's so different with Blond hair!! James Nesbitt's a fav too - CherryBomb should be worth seeing (not just for Rupert's sake).
I'm SOO glad Rupert is finally branching out! He is the best out of the trio I think (and it's kinda sad when he isn't recognized as much because he's what makes seeing the trio worth it )
"I've had a few memorable nights"
Yeah, I bet they were
Rupert as a blonde... never would've pictured that.
I still see some red in there on some angles. It's kinda cute tho - blonde does work for red heads.
Can't wait for this movie! It sounds GREAT!
it probably won't be in theatres out here (in Canada) but as long as it's on DVD I really don't care. It's kinda nice that he and the other two haven't totally jumped ship to American movies and that they're staying true to their home in that way....
