Actress Ashley Greene, one of the stars of the Twilight series, who recently costarred with Tom Felton in The Apparition, spoke about how fame gained from their respective franchises has affected them. Quote:
"We did compare the difference between how big 'Harry Potter' is in the UK versus how big 'Twilight' is in the UK and LA and the difference between those two," Ashley explained, "because he can actually walk around in LA whereas I can't, and it's flipped anywhere in Europe. I can walk around and nobody cares who I am, but he can't step out his front door."

interesting!! I think he is well known, but he is the bad guy in the movies so most of the people who may recognize him will be younger kids and they would stay back, I know my four year old knows who he is, but would be afraid or want to tell him off! lol!

haha that's quite true >.< oh but here in asia it's mostly the most recent movie. after a while u forget, unless ur crazy mad abt it (*winkwink*), like some people. so right now it's twilight/new moon [personally i think it's horrible, but ashley greene is aweosme, yes], n will stay like that until the next hp movie comes out. if that movie is bigge5r than HP...look at the "box office movie of all time" and then let's see if you can say that again... But in terms of culture, Harry Potter is more woven in the fabric in the UK, in the same way that Twilight is inevitably a bigger thing in the US. Both stories are tied to those respective parts of the world, so people identify with it in a different way.
