Video: New Harry & Hermione Half-Blood Prince clip on Jonathan Ross (UPDATED)
As we announced earlier, actress Emma Watson made a guest appearance on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross today, during which time, amongst many things, she confirmed that she will be attending a university in the United States this fall.
Emma mentioned that she was the preferred choice of Hermione when being cast for the Harry Potter films over nine year ago; she gets chatted up by guys using terrible lines about broomsticks; boys mistake her for being in the Chronicles of Narnia and Lord of the Rings films, as a joke; she had seen Dan Radcliffe in Equus and said it was "quite something".
As for the kiss with Rupert Grint in Deathly Hallows, which took place last month, Emma stated that it was horrible, and that the best part of it was closing her eyes because she didn't have to think about the fact that she was kissing him. She considered kissing Rupert as incestuous; the worst part of the kiss was opening her eyes and trying not to laugh.
There was also a new clip from Half-Blood Prince aired during the interview, where Harry and Hermione are discussing Slughorn's Christmas party in the library. Harry suggests they go together but Hermione already has a date, so she suggests Romilda Vane.
We will have the video here as soon at it is available online, so stay tuned!
UPDATE: The full video interview has been uploaded online and can be seen below:
Friday Night with Jonathan Ross with Emma airs on BBC America, July 17 at 8 and 11 pm, and again on July 18 at 1am.
Haha Emma is great! I'm glad she's coming to the US for college. Maybe I will finally get a glimpse. And the DH filming feels like its gonna end soon too cuz she said April which sounds close in a way. Watch...time will fly and we Potter fans will be wiping our eyes soon enough.
The comments she said about kissing Rupert was really funny. At least she was brave enough to do it! I would freak and run for my life if I had to kiss someone not only on camera but someone who is like a brother...eww thinking about it scares the hell out of me! Emma is very brave!

❝All's fair in love and war and this is a little bit of both.❞
In an exclusive TV interview Emma Watson said she hated the kiss "I pounced on him, I was so desperate to get it over with."
Emma confirms her future lies in acting: "Definitely... I'm so excited about going to university but it doesn't mean to say I can't do something else, I want to have my cake and eat it... I'd like to try comedy."
But she says she is scared of Harry Potter fans.
She didn't say anything about this is something missing from the interview or didn't she say this at all?

thats pretty stupid of them to leave something that important out when its stated in some magazines that she will not continue to act. And here in this interview she sets the record straight that she will continue acting and shoots those awful rumors/lies dowm. And then they choose not to show it for the world. TOTALLY IDIOTIC!!
Don't you think that is stupid to not show that so we can see she sets thwe record straight and wants to continue acting?

It's not their responsibility. And besides, careful readers would have already realised that.
