Video: New Harry & Hermione Half-Blood Prince clip on Jonathan Ross (UPDATED)
As we announced earlier, actress Emma Watson made a guest appearance on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross today, during which time, amongst many things, she confirmed that she will be attending a university in the United States this fall.
Emma mentioned that she was the preferred choice of Hermione when being cast for the Harry Potter films over nine year ago; she gets chatted up by guys using terrible lines about broomsticks; boys mistake her for being in the Chronicles of Narnia and Lord of the Rings films, as a joke; she had seen Dan Radcliffe in Equus and said it was "quite something".
As for the kiss with Rupert Grint in Deathly Hallows, which took place last month, Emma stated that it was horrible, and that the best part of it was closing her eyes because she didn't have to think about the fact that she was kissing him. She considered kissing Rupert as incestuous; the worst part of the kiss was opening her eyes and trying not to laugh.
There was also a new clip from Half-Blood Prince aired during the interview, where Harry and Hermione are discussing Slughorn's Christmas party in the library. Harry suggests they go together but Hermione already has a date, so she suggests Romilda Vane.

Friday Night with Jonathan Ross with Emma airs on BBC America, July 17 at 8 and 11 pm, and again on July 18 at 1am.
Discussing why Ron didn't ask her to Slughorn's Party... cool! So excited! But I can't watch that clip if it comes on... no more spoilers! They have released 8 so far! How much more of the movie is left?
haha kissing him is incestuous!!!! LOL And I get the whole jealous fan thing.... I can only imagine how Dan's fans will react after the Harry/Ginny stuff!! Great stuff, can't wait for the video!

Wow. Horrible kissing Rupert? I'm sure she meant that in a loving way, I mean when you see someone as much as that in that setting, you become close and I suppose it becomes awkward.
University in the States? I wonder which coast? If it's East Coast, that's the coast I live on.

Well, I guess this confirms that there's nothing between Rupert and Emma. I will still ship R/E though - they just look so darn cute together XD And btw, it couldn't be that bad to kiss Rupert. She seems like she died just because she kissed him
One thing we all must remember is that all of the "Kids" think of themselves as brothers and sisters. One big family, so the "incestuous" statement really makes sense. Daniel also said the same thing when he was asked about his scenes with Bonnie Wright.
I read it was Yale or Harvard of the US school so its the east coast, only a few hours from New York by train.
LOL at the Miley comment. She isn't my favorite but that was a good interview. And to console R/E shippers, she admitted to a boyfriend. She can't seem to happy to kiss Rupert.
lately whenever i watch or read any of the interviews with the trio i've noticed that they're all being much more honest. emma FINALLY admitting that she has a bf... where she's going to school... etc. rupert on his feelings with girls and stuff... i feel like they've grown up to the point where their interviews are actually really good to watch. its awesome.
Great interview! You could tell she was nervous, but she did a great job! I love the part about guys coming up with wand and broomstick related pick up lines.
It's really sad to have a date set on when filming for Deathly Hallows ends...April seems far away, but it still seems close at the same time. I wonder what they filmed for the theme park?!
And the part about kissing Rupert was absolutely hilarious!!
Everyone knows her boyfriend is Jay Barrymore at this point, but it was still hilarious to see her response to that question. Great interview...I'm off to watch it again!
