As reported, ABC Family aired a look at the final day of principal photography for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which took place in June 2010. The scene in question involved Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson dressed as their characters' Ministry of Magic counterparts, Albert Runcorn, Reg Cattermole, and Mafalda Hopkirk running through one of the fireplaces lining the Ministry atrium's walls for Part I. That footage, presented by producer David Barron and featuring an emotional trio on the set as David Yates yelled cut for the last time, can be viewed below.

Do note that while this was their final day of principal photography, it was not the trio's last day of filming for the Harry Potter series. Their last days took place in December 2010, when Dan, Rupert, Emma, Bonnie Wright, and their on-screen children had to reshoot the Deathly Hallows: Part II epilogue at King's Cross, recreated inside Leavesden Studios.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II will hit theatres and IMAX July 15, 2011. The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I Blu-ray and DVD sets, out on April 11, 2011 in the U.K. and April 15, 2011 in the U.S., can be pre-ordered on the WB Shop or Amazon at the links below. I would have never thought that would be the very last shot, ever. You would think that it might be something towards the end of the second film, possibly.
It would be so hard for me to work with the green screen practically the whole time. Takes talent

I agree with the choice though. It was going to be so emotional that something simple and non-verbal seems best for them. If they would've had to speak knowing this was the last scene, I think they would've broken character easily and cried.

Upsetting as it is...I do sort of wish the camera zoomed in on Dan, Emma, and Rupert's faces when the guy said cut. And just linger on their expressions...

Awww this made me very emotional. The trio's faces showed a lot of emotion too. I can't believe this is ending... maybe we should arrange "a funeral" for Harry Potter where we could all cry our eyes off after watching DH part 2

No, Harry Potter will never really end but after part 2 it'll definitely feel like it's all over.

they probably never imagined this would be their last scene. so sad.
if the last book wasnt anything like it was, you'd think the final scene would be the trio in their uniforms going to the hogwarts express to go home leaving hogwarts for the last time =[

Im with u on that one. it will be very emotional coming out of the theater and thinking that it was the last film that we would see of harry potter.

yes cant agree more about how sad this was to watch...

i really hope they have more of this in some bonus material released at some point because id really love to see this

with the LOTR last day of shooting i thought they did a really good job at capturing those moments so i hope we see something similiar here with HP

I can't get over the look on Dan's face. You can tell it's just killing him.

I will say I like that the last scene shot was of just the trio, regardless of how...simplistic the shot was.

omg dan's face was like i just can't believe it ended. i thought the last shot was gonna be complex not so simple. I thought it was gonna be an action shot 0.o

I can't believe they only had to do that as one of the very last scenes in the whole Harry Potter Films. I was kind crying when I watched the video. Can't wait for Part 2!
