| | |  Video: Equus opening night Dan Radcliffe & Richard Griffiths interviews (UPDATED)
Dan Radcliffe & Richard Griffiths spoke to the press yesterday before taking to the stage for their Broadway opening night performance of Equus which, according to reports, was attended by several celebrities. The Metro has a video interview where the pair compare American audiences to their British counterparts. Quote:
The 19-year-old star said after the play's opening night: "They're even more attentive. They don't miss anything. Any references, nothing goes amiss. It's incredible really."
The Associated Press also has a lengthy interview with the actors. Quote:
"It was funny because tonight I didn't expect to be nervous because we've done all the previews, we've had all the critics here," Radcliffe said after Thursday's performance. "I thought, `Oh, we'll do it tonight, it won't be so bad.' But I was terrified before we went out. I was like, `Omigod, this is it.'"
"The jitters should be there 'til the last night of performing — because the jitters are what get you on stage," he said. "It's the nerves that make it exciting and vital and make every show different."
Entertainment Tonight also has an interview with Dan on the red carpet, amongst other celebrities.  | |

It's good to be nervous, to feel those "butterflies" before the play starts, like singers feel it before a concert. If he wouldn't feel it, it would mean he doesn't enjoy and gives his best, so it's good to hear him saying this, he is a very sincere person, I like that.  | |
