Awwwwww!!!!  This is REALLY sweet and awkward and REAL. I luff it. It's a shame it got cut from the film though... I'd have rather seen this in the movie than the Harry/Hermione dance.

It feels very Rupert and Emma actually..which I like but they don't seem in character a lot. I do like this scene though and I would have preferred it over the dance as well.

Yeah, I agree that it feels a lot more like Rupert/Emma than it does Ron/Hermione, especially with Emma. She doesn't have her posh Hermione accent, and both her and Rupert are mumbling a lot. But the dance scene felt a lot more like Dan/Emma than the Harry/Hermione from the books, sooo....
I think it's mostly just cause this was all improvised. Steve Kloves didn't write this scene, David Yates just thought it would be a cute idea while they were at the lake, and he spent like an hour with Rupert and Emma just filming them skipping stones. So they were thinking a lot more about what to do and what to say than to actually act like Ron and Hermione would. Still cute, one of Yates's better ideas!

yeah, its a great example of the random things you'd do if you were out in the middle of nowhere. i like it, it supports the canon a BIT MORE than the harry/hermione dance... and yet its the one cut... *sigh*

I LOVE this.
It really shows how nerdy Hermione really is. When it comes to books, she’s a genius but when it comes to something like skipping stones, she’s all awkward.
Though that could also be because of how much she loves Ron. They are totally flirting here!

if you dont know which film this scene is from, you would never find out that they are Ron/Hermione and not Rupert/Emma..
i agree with others that both of them are OOC.. well, not Rupert, as there is no difference b/w him and Ron.. but Emma.. oh Em, cmon..!! but on the top of all, DAVID YATES directed it horribly
Let me say this now.. Yates have ruined Harry Potter films, and if OOtp, HBP and DH have done great business then it is because of book fans and story lines.. it has got nothing to do with Yates's direction .. cant understand what to do with films having a director like him

Well, it's cute, but as far as the movie goes - I think it seems even more out of place than the dance scene. This would have been before Ron left, and at this point in the book, Ron was totally not very laid-back and jovial. He was a seething bundle of nerves.

I have to be honest, I didn't really like it. It was awkward and quite boring. I mean, the H/Hr scene didn't make sense but it was better.

I really like the R/Hr scene! It's such a great scene and I think it's a lot better than the H/Hr dancing scene.
They had put a dancing scene of Harry and Hermione in the actual movie and it doesn't even happen in the book. They could of put something more important in DH 1 besides a dance scene.
I dunno if it was Steve Kloves being the Screen Writer and I know in the past HP films they've always tried to get Harry and Hermione a lot closer than they are meant to be.
That's just my opinion!

That's just my opinion! I agree. I kinda feel like his favoritism of hermione and whole harry/hermione thing have thrown off the balance of the trio, it really frustrates me
