Video: Daniel Radcliffe might want to play James Potter if Harry Potter series reboot
While promoting the release of The Woman in Black (which made an estimated $8.3 million on Friday in the U.S. and Canada), Daniel Radcliffe admitted that he would like to portray Harry Potter's father, James, if the book series were ever rebooted for the big screen. In the past Dan said he would consider portraying Sirius Black in the past, but with James the actor found that he would get to be back in the series but not have to work for the entire duration of the series. Dan also noted that Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban held the most meaning for him, given that it was the one where he decided he wanted to become an actor, and got to work with Gary Oldman for the first time.
Dan has mentioned in the past that he got to keep two sets of Harry's glasses as personal souvenirs, but keeps them locked away in a London vault, given how "precious" they are.
that would be an excellent idea. The entire series reboot. But Im afraid that wont be happening soon.
Speaking of the idea of Daniel playing James Potter, I would like to know what Rupert and Emma would like to play
I'm probably in the minority of people who would prefer the books never be rebooted for the big screen. I just can't imagine anyone else playing Harry,Ron and Hermione. Now if everyone came back as their original character for some kind of sequel...I could maybe get into that.

im actually not thrilled with the idea of a reboot. unless JKR herself writes something for the Marauders era i would hope that the studios learn to leave this alone.
I hope they never remake these films, too many good movies have been ruined by remakes! Just leave them and their magic be although if JKR wishes to write a prequel book then I'm all for it coming to the big screen! It could end with Dumbledore leaving Harry on the Dursely's doorstep with the words 'Good luck, Harry Potter'....I've thought about this far too much!!

I don't believe this is a good idea. It would be nice to end the Harry Potter franchise now as the final film has taken place and JK Rowling said she wont' be writing anymore Harry Potter books. Just leave the magic of the finale of Harry Potter as it is
OK this is a good sign so all is needed is someone to send this artical to JKR and hope she get's started and if she could another ten years would be great. I don't know about the other 2 stars(Emma and Ron) but I think alot of the other stars would come back beacause it would be a shame to put their kids in the spot light for just a couple of seconds,give them a chance to prove their selves

Hmm, like many others I don't know how I feel about remaking the HP films. Maybe in 20 or 30 years, but I think they're fine how they are now. And if they do end up redoing them, it would be so adorable if he would be James! I'd much rather have him than anyone else.
