| | |  Video: Dan Radcliffe talks Half-Blood Prince move & Deathly Hallows epilogue
An extended interview of Dan Radcliffe's with Ben Lyons for E! is now online, where he talks about rumours as to why Half-Blood Prince was pushed to July 2009; that production - including hiatuses - for Deathly Hallows will actually run at about 18 months starting February 2009, and that it will end close to Dan's 21st birthday in July 2010; and the fact that the epilogue (in which Harry and his friends are in their 30s) will be shot for the final installment.
Dan admits that when speaking to someone in production who read the script to the second half of Deathly Hallows, the ending made them cry. The video can be viewed below:
Also, Dan's interview on Inside the Actors Studio is airing tonight on Bravo (right now for anyone on the east coast); we will have that programme in its entirety when it is made available online. | |

Why don't they just hire adults who look like older versions of the characters for the epilogue? They better not do prostetics or something, that would be awful.

| After eight movies and ten years, who on earth would want to see Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Draco be portrayed by anyone but the actors we've been watching grow up for the past decade? You'd want a bitter-sweet ending, and no one's going to get that if they hire a bunch of random actors to play the five of them.
I'd be so turned off by the epilogue if it wasn't Dan, Rupert, Emma, Bonnie, and Tom aged on-screen to play their elder counterparts. | |

Really good interview though, nice to see Dan! | Dan,Emma and Rupert started off as the trio,it's only a fair/good ending if they play the trio in the epilogue. I think they can easily look 36/37 as it's done through computer graphics and plus makeup and hair,wrinkles could make them look so their age.
I really hope they play the trio till the end,including the epilogue,cannot wait for the d.e kiss! 
The person he spoke to who cried about the ending,was actually Emma herself.

of course w/ makeup and prosthetics you can age someone to their mid thirties. For God's sake, it is not like you would need a pile of wrinkles for someone in their thirties. Just a different hairstyle and clothing can do wonders. | |
