The name of the Bulgarian boy chosen to play the part of Viktor Krum in the next Harry Potter movie will be known in two weeks, Sofia casting Director Victor Bozhinov told 24 Chasa daily, as the auditioning rolled into its second, and final, day on Thursday.
Bozhinov teamed up with director Sasho Kossev and actress/singer Maya Bezhanska in order to single out the most promising candidates, and carry out the auditioning, which ends at 5 a.m.
From time to time, jury members showed up at the entrance of "Studentski Dom" in the center of Sofia, where the casting is being held, to choose those of the boys they will meet and tape their short interviewing on camera.
The tapings of some 15-20 candidates will be flown to London for the final selection, Bozhinov told Novinite.com before the casting started.
Hundreds of kids and teenagers flocked to "Studentski Dom" on the two consecutive days of the casting, in the hope of clinching the role of Viktor Krum. Many of them were accompanied by their parents, anxiously instructing the bidders in how to make a good impression.
"Viktor Krum has dark hair and thick eyebrows, a slightly bent nose. The actor must be an athletic build, robust. Not handsome but rather arrogant and repulsive on first sight," said Bulgarian director Viktor Bozhinov, charged with the selection.
