| | | UPDATED: Underwater Filming at Leavesden Studios The Sunday Telegraph has a short article with some quotes from David Heyman (producer) from when he was at the PoA DVD Launch talking about some of the sets for the fourth film, 'Goblet of Fire': Quote:
Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire sets new limits for cinematic technology according to producer David Heyman, who said shooting has been a delicate process.
"We have had to build a dedicated tank which was incredibly involved, but I think it will look spectacular," he said.
Filming has taken place in short bursts, with divers supplying oxygen to actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
Source: The Leaky Cauldron. UPDATE: Emerson from Mugglenet has added more information to do with this article refering back to when he was invited to Leavesden Studios to view GoF sets/filming: Quote:
If it wasn't obvious, they were filming the second task scenes in the tank, and so Stanislav Yanevski (Krum), Robert Pattinson (Cedric), Clemence Poesy (Fleur), Angelica Mandy (Gabrielle Delacour) and Katie Leung (Cho Chang) all filmed scenes underwater. The ones we interviewed all really enjoyed this filming.
Quote:
The tank is 60 feet by 60 feet. In other words, it's huge.

I think the creatures will be CGI. The make-up woul've run off in the water otherwise if they tried to use real people.
I always thought that the 2nd task would look good as an animation sequence but that'd be tacky, having animation in the middle of a film.
Moaning Myrtle is in the bathroom scene but apparently not in this one.

So... is there any possibility that Rupert will emerge from the water in swimming trunks? Or me being the one to supply Rupert's oxygen? oh well, that's just me and wishful thinking (ignore) but this is really great news and I hope it turns out spectacular! |
