| | | UPDATED: Our first look at Mad-Eye Moody
A new ' Goblet of Fire' sticker is being auctioned off on eBay. It features a shot of Harry (which also appears on the 2006 GoF Calendar) and a man who looks like he could be Mad-Eye Moody!
The sticker can be seen here.
Source: Veritaserum UPDATE: The Leaky Cauldron have now reported the news stating that this IS our first look at Mad-Eye Moody. |

| He doesnt look bad at all. But did he always have that patch over his eye?
I give it a 2 thumbs up.

ahhh...if that was Moody, I'd be slightly dissapointed. I always invisioned a hunch-backed, creepy old guy. But I think that could play well into Moody's character...I could see why they wanted him to look like that.

I think that is Moody cause the person seems to have the same build as Brendan Gleeson (think that's the actors name). Looks like a good Moody, except the patch...should just have a crazy eye!!

| That...is completely different to how I imagined Mad-Eye-Moody to be....I mean, I thought he would be older, a slightly over-weight, and bending forward, not standing up completely straight like that. |

I bet it is him - the sticker says Dark Arts at the bottom - and Moody is the teacher of Dark Arts. I bet they will have the eye patch on most of the time (since it would be a continuous digital effect to have the magical eye all the time - too expensive and time consuming) and just have certain creepy instances where they zoom in and Moody lifts the eye patch to reveal the magical eye underneath. Imagine the final scene at King's Cross station where Moody intimidates Vernon Dursley by showing him his eye. I think that would work well.
Also, his hair is supposed to be long and gray - so that fits the picture.

It's not actually a patch. It looks like whatever it is, is holding the moving eye in the socket. If you notice the 'eye' is protruding from that 'patch' and is an entirely different colour to his other eye. Therefore, it's not just a bog-standard eye-patch.
You can't really comment on the back or face in great detail because this isn't a clear picture.
The lego version of Moody has the same feature. Quote:

Isn't that in OotP? *brainfart*

The "socket" is an interesting concept. Gleeson is a good actor, I'm sure that once we see him moving and hear him talking we'll be won over. From this, I think they got it pretty well...except for the eye. Remember the guy from PoC with the eye that always popped out? I envisioned a protruding, rotating, electric blue version of that. I never thought it'd be something monstrous, rather something that would leave an impression on a fourteen year old boy.

Would be cool if the eye was on show all the time!! I thought his face would be more heavily scarred, but maybe it's because it's too far away.

i honestly htought that he was going to look like (are you ready for this?) Filch. I mean a little more hair and not so hunched over, but the same hair color, and huge chunk out of his nose. Look at the chapters in the American edition it shows what i thought he would look like. that guy looks more like Lucius Malfoy with short hair an eye patch (no offense).
