I never noticed Mr. Weasley in that one scene before. lol Then again I never noticed Ron 'til a few viewings of it. I have to laugh at it because Ron like Ron's away immediately, followed by Hermione who notices him running right away, and Harry's standing there looking like an idiot.

I noticed too that the yule ball attire actually looks like a robe... the "jacket" part of it at least. So it's kinda like muggle clothes but not.

I saw this yesterday when it was on. i was soo exited!! it is wopper!! hermione looks really beautiful in the yule ball scene. her dress is goergous!! n harry looks cute.

Rupert's portraying Ron cowardness is good, he has never heard of the expression "women and kids first" man he just run past everybody, he doesn't even care about Hermione, and of course Hermione trying to stick with Harry, poor Harry he doesn't know what that Mark means..

yes Mr. Weasly yelled at them, he said something like "Run.....GGOOOO!!", but I thought that Ron was going to wait for Hermione to go first, that is the proper way went running away, the males are left behind to protect the females, but Ronny went on like a rabbit leaving dear Hermione behind with Harry, and if I am not mistaken in the books it says that Harry didn't know what the dark mark was, right??

lol Ron was doing what his father told him to do, as did Hermione. It was complete chaos and everyone was running. Crap like women and children first is that, crap. :p But Harry stands around looking stupid. But unless they changed it, this is before the dark mark... the chaos that ensues from the wizards having "fun" with the muggles, burning tents, etc. They were far from the QWC scene by the time the dark mark is displayed.

I believe it is the dark mark scene, mugglenet and TLC went to the camp set where they said that the filming of the dark mark was taking place.
plus I prefer a confuse HArry than a coward Ron, at least he didn't run like a girl!!!trying to save his ***...

Um, he did run. He just stood there looking stupid first. lol Truth is, had it been anyone, I'd have laughed at that scene. It was just hilarious how it went down.

I watched the clip for like 5 times already before I read the comments here. After reading only then I found out that Ron was actually standing at the back of Harry haha.. I thought it was only Hermione and Harry in that scene.. ..

Have you read the books? Because if not, then know this: Movie!Ron is not Canon!Ron. Canon!Ron is NOT afraid. The chess scene in PS/SS (included in the movie), he faces his fear of spiders for Hermione in CoS and willingly goes into the chamber. In PoA, he's the one (NOT Hermione) who stands up and goes, "If you want Harry, you'll have to go through us first," to Siruis; broken leg and all and believing that Sirius is a murderer! So Ron is NOT a coward. Otherwise he would not have been placed in Gryffindor.

well in that instance he didn't look that brave at all, specially not waiting for Hermione!!...and I am talking about that scene in the moive not the entire book

Yes, but it's unfair to call Ron a coward when it's not even Canon!Ron and to say something of that nature against the character and his fans. But in any case, Mr. Weasley TOLD him to run, and Hermione was told to run, and she did. Harry was told to run and he just stood there like a dork. It was *funny*. Not because of Dan/Harry, but because the scene was funny. Try to be objective about it and you'll see how funny it is.
