Folha de Sao Paulo, a Brazilian newspaper, reports that Ponciano Almeida, a Capoeira fighter, was used in ' Goblet of Fire'.
The article says Ponciano Almeida, 25, has filmed a fight in Hogwarts, though he has no lines. Almeida has apparently been living in London for the last four years, and told the newspaper that his appearance is quite big. "I don't want to create expectations because I don't know what will be cut in the final edition," he said.
It is not clear what part of the film this guy appeared in.
However, it sounds very much like body-double/stunt-double work which could've been needed for one of the Triwizard tasks or the attack of the DE's at the Quidditch World Cup. UPDATE: Official sources have confirmed that he plays the role of a DURMSTRANG EXTRA. His role is not big.

It's an African mix of fighting that's sort of like dancing, by my understanding.
The whole thing sounds kind of false. If it hadn't said 'filmed' and 'fight scene' I'd have said he was Madame Maxime's stunt double or something.

His said his 'appearance is quite big' so he could mean the size of his character and not the duration of his part. So maybe he is a creature or something.

He could just be winding up the journalists he spoke to.
I wouldn't be suprised that some journalists found out he was in the film and he just told them something worth printing.
Afterall, nobody would be interested in an unknown cast member stating that he has been doing some filming.
Imagine: *Stop the Press!! Stop ther Press!! A stunt double [as presummed from this forum] has done some filming in a movie!*
Come on!
I hate to be negative but the only slightly incy weenzy bit of interesting information is the type of martial art that he does. And as M.Riddle points out, its appears like a false martial art.

That is really good thinking Marcella. Maybe he is a creature, because I can't imagine a spot for martial arts in the film...and this type of martial arts doesn't shound like the kung fu kind of martial arts it sounds like a dance. I don't know! We shall see.

I can't imagine what his place would be in the film. The only thing I can think of is in the maze... since he mentioned he filmed a fight in Hogwarts. *shrugs*

Whoo-Hoo!! I'm half Brazilian and i was born in Brazil. Capoeira is so cool!!! but Its not really the Harry Potter material... I wonder why they would have capoeira in the movie... For those of you who saw Catwoman (played by Halle Berry) she uses capoiera to fight... that couldn't have less to do with HP. oh well...
