| | |  Update on Dan's new film role
A few more tidbits have emerged about Dan Radcliffe's new role in the film, ' December Boys'. This includes information about his character, the filming schedule and plans for the release of the movie. New Orleans quotes Richard Becker, the producer of the script, as saying: Quote:
"We'd be happy for Daniel to play an English orphan because the reality was that there were a lot of them in Australia following the war and during the '60s."

Dan's representative has confirmed that ' December Boys' will NOT interfere with ' Order of the Phoenix'. Shooting on Dan's new film starts in November and will end sometime in late December.
It has yet to be determined whether the film will be released outside of Australia.
In relation to the movie, Richard Becker said: Quote:
“December Boys” is a compelling and charming story reminiscent of “Stand by Me”, “Local Hero” and even “Billy Elliot”. It appears that audiences continue to seek films with heart and meaning such as “Cider House Rules” and “Finding Neverland”, and I believe that “December Boys” has that special quality. We are thrilled that Daniel has chosen it as his next starring vehicle and are eager to commence production in the fall”.

Next time I'm in Waterstones I want to see if I can get the book. I'm partly intrigued by this whole "love affair" thing. I know it hasnt been mentioned here but I had to mention it. I mean it sounds more to me than a few kisses. Maybe it's just me. Sorry, please dont punnish me anyone, I'm not trying to suggest anything but thats just the way it sounds to me. Does anyone catch my drift?

I think perhaps the love element was being hyped up because of the fact that Dan plays Harry, who's a rather unromantic character, in comparison. I can't see Dan going from no romance to full-on love scenes It'll probably just be a screen kiss.

It seemed too mature. I would maybe also say that it's going to be along the lines of a few kisses with a girl he met at the seaside. That seems more realistic. But I think I might just get the book to make sure.

I cannot believe how much publicity Dan's new role it’s been receiving in most of the important internet site, like MTV, Yahoo, Google, Moreover, Countdown, Empire, Reuters, The Scotsman, E! (The TV show)...and many many other, and I am glad that most of them have his name in the their headlines and not Harry's name.
The plot of the book looks interesting, and the “love affair” well it is normal for him to do a romantic scene, he is at the right age to at least have a nice kiss on the screen. | |
