| | |  Tom Felton talks Harry & Draco in Half-Blood Prince and J.K. Rowling
In a recent interview with the AFP, Tom Felton spoke about his turn as Draco Malfoy in Half-Blood Prince, Draco's relationship with Harry in the movie, and the commendation Tom received from J.K. Rowling about his portrayal of the Slytherin student in the latest Harry Potter film.
On Harry and Draco's animosity in the series, Tom said: Quote:
"We have a few conflicts in the film so it was great fun to finally get physical.
"I break his nose and he rips me open, so it was good to release some of the tension that we've been building up over the years," Felton said in an interview with journalists in Paris ahead of Tuesday's world premiere in London.
Tom revels in playing an evil character like Draco, especially the fan reaction he receives: Quote:
"I take great pleasure in being evil in the film so I'm very grateful for playing Draco.
"A lot of kids that came on to the set were very keen on the idea of meeting Draco, but they were never keen to shake my hand, so I take that as a compliment.
"If I can terrify a little child then I'm assuming I'm paid for something!"
"I think he revels in this opportunity at first and loves the idea of being the bad boy, but he quickly crumbles and realises he quite doesn't have a heart the size of his young friend Harry."
On Jo Rowling's praise for his portrayal of Draco in Half-Blood Prince, Tom was ecstatic: Quote:
"That's the ultimate compliment from her. I was amazed at receiving it. I had my mum crying within five minutes of receiving it so she was very proud," he recalls.

why are they scared of him. all he does is say potter! i hate you!.
haha its not like he kills people during the movie and hiuts people. they beat him up most the time.
tom im getting really annoyed at you. draco is NOT evil so stop saying that you play the msot evil character of all. he's just a god darn bully nothing more or less.

I think he's done a brilliant job. Good for him getting JKR's praise.
I like that he's the bad boy...He isn't noble and all about the right thing like Harry is and that makes Malfoy more realistic.
