In a new interview with The People Tiana Benjamin, who played Angelina Johnson in Goblet of Fire and now stars in BBC1 soap EastEnders, explains why she didn't reprise her Potter role in Order of the Phoenix. Quote:
She was signed up for the fifth Harry Potter movie, The Order Of The Phoenix, after having played Angelina Johnson in Harry Potter: The Goblet Of Fire. Tiana became good mates with Emma Watson, aka Hermione Granger, during filming but a clash in schedules meant she had to decide between the soap or the blockbuster movie.
"You don't want to upset Warner Brothers," she laughs.
"It was a tiny part and my mum keeps telling me I have to stop banging on about it but I am really proud of it.
"EastEnders offered me Chelsea and I was like: 'Oh no, will I be able to do Harry Potter as well'. I know it sounds a bit greedy but it was Harry Potter.
"We tried to sort it out and they were going to work around it. Then EastEnders said they were having problems because Harry Potter kept changing.
And so they told me I had to make a choice. I have been an EastEnders fan my whole life so I chose them."

On the other hand, she probably gets paid a lot more and is on T.V. 4 times a week with several million people watching her. It's definitely an upgrade from Harry Potter.

I think if I was her I'd have done the same. Angelina is a much smaller part than Chelsea, and she'd already experienced the whole Harry Potter thing. In Eastenders she's on 3 or 4 times a week or whatever and Angelina would have had a few seconds probably | |

Her role in Harry Potter would have been almost completely negligible. I have no idea what EastEnders is but I figure she would get a lot more done there. Still, as she said, it's still Harry Potter and that's always a good thing...
