Waterstone's have
launched a
website with an online petition (saveharrypotter.co.uk) against the end of Harry Potter. The campaign is designed to encourage J.K.Rowling to write further novels.
Quote:
"Millions, perhaps billions of us, love reading his adventures and we never want them to end."
Quote:
"Sir Arthur Conan Doyle famously killed off Sherlock Holmes, yet brought him back after years of demand from his fans and publishers," said Waterstone's Wayne Winstone. "Couldn't the same happen for Harry Potter?"
I won't be signing it. As far as I'm concerned, decisions such as this are Jo's alone. I find this whole charade arrogant, disrespectful and rude.
