The British actress will play Sybill Trelawny, the eccentric professor of divination at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the film, which is currently shooting at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire.

No she wasn't in Notting Hill, lol. You probably mixed her up with Emma CHAMBERS, who is also blonde, and was also considered for the role of Trelwany a while ago! Confusing isn't it?!

it's going to take a lot of make up to get her to the image I have from reading the books, she is so much younger and better looking than I picture Trelawney, but if they can do it with Hagrid, she should be no trouble.....fang

They can easily make her look older with makeup. It's amazing what they can do these days. And if she looks a bit younger than the book describes, well, our suspension of disbelief will already be in place so I'm sure we'll all survive. :wine:

I'm So excited she will be playing sybil..emma is going to be soo funny.. I really always saw a younger looking woman compared to that of lets say umbridge eww..cause if u remember in the Ootp Trewlaney was crawling on her knees crying that she would never leave hogwarts..no Older person coulld do that, with such gosto and fight..unless u are dombledore fighting u know who lol?well ...I think she will be great.Also it seems her character has a lot more instore since we last heard with the profecy in Ootp. Plus...Don't you think Severus and Sybil would be the cutest couple lol :wub:

Didn't the book describe Trewlaney as looking like a preying mantis?
I pictured someone with pointier features and skinnier.
But makeup jobs can be amazing. And the hugh glasses will help.
