[img]http://www.snitchseeker.net/images/avatar/dobby_snap_80.jpg' align='middle'> Thewly madly creepy - Thewlis' werewolf impression 'scary'

Summary:
The Sun is reporting that David Thewlis does such a convincing job morphing in to a werewolf that WB film bosses feared it might be too scary for younger cinema-goers. Thewlis' girlfriend Anna Friel confided, "The directors thought it might be too scary — but kept it."

Article:

DAVID THEWLIS plays such a scary werewolf in the next Harry Potter film that he was nearly axed as bosses feared he would terrify young cinema-goers.
His character, professor Remus Lupin, spooks Harry and his fellow wizardry pupils when he changes into a monster at the full moon.

His stare and make-up get more intense and he goes into weird spasms. Then a stunt man takes over the part of the nine-foot werewolf, striding around inside a giant costume.

David, who dates ANNA FRIEL, said of his chilling part in The Prisoner of Azkaban: “The directors thought it might be too scary — but kept it.”

: How could they think about getting rid of ihim it would ruin it for people who read the book. This is my favourite of the lot.
I really want to see Hermoine hit Malfoy in this one, like it says in the book.

Sweet, werewolf action!
darn you kids, it's just a movie... bahh, thinking of cutting out such a cool part.
They should put the rating up again. :whisle:

I agree I think even if it is scary.... it will make it WAY better if they leave it in and people will like it better! I'm glad they decided to keep it!

Gah! Kids' have seen much worse stuff than that, you know. Besides, I'm 12, so I still qualify for a kid, right? But I don't get paranoid over werewolves or even that gross(?) stuff half american movies are made of! No offence, but really... HP's not for nervous 4-year-olds! They shouldn't even read the books if they're scared! Hmph! >
