Post The Sun claim to have book 7 title

The Sun newspaper, a British tabloid, claim to have the title to the seventh Potter book. They are reporting that the title is either Harry Potter and the Parseltongue Trophy or Harry Potter and the Great Revelation. Needless to say, they're stretching the truth.

These names were in fact registered by WB in July 2003. Every time a name is registered (and there are many of them) an article is always published claiming that that title belongs to a new Potter book. When, in fact, this is nearly always untrue.

The title of 'Half-Blood Prince' was also registered at that time, most likely because it was a tentative title for 'Chamber of Secrets'.

Quote:
A spokesman for Christopher Little, literary agent for J.K.Rowling said last night: "These are names registered a couple of years ago. Fans should not read too much into them. So far J.K.Rowling has not announced any names for the seventh book."
To read more on the issue go here.

A scan of the article can be viewed here.

Please keep in mind that the only official sources on book titles are J.K.Rowling, Bloomsbury and Scholastic.

Both of those names are horrible. Especially the Great Revelation. Of course there's going to be a great revelation! It's book 7! Why don't you say it's going to be called
Harry Potter and the End of the Series? Both are going to happen!

ummm...those titles sound sooo cheesy...Harry Potter and the Parseltongue Trophy?? really now..the Great Revelation, sounds a bit too obvious and ordinary for a HP book. what stupid rumors!

Thats so typical of the sun tho...i mean they haven't even brought out 6 yet. i'm sure that the Sun would be the first newspaper JKRowling would go to and tell about her 7th title ...Yea right!!

One of the sites had the scan of the article. They mentioned that it should be taken as a rumour, because JK hasn't said anything about the title of book 7. A bit contradictory as they claim to know what it is, then tell us to treat it as a rumour.

Yeah I included that quote from Christopher Little's representative in the article. In bold.

Where did they say they know what it is?

Here's the link to the scan of the article

Well they claimed to have an exclusive, that they believed it was one of the to. So I guess they didn't say they "knew" but they said they discovered that those titles are likely.

Well The Sun said they thought that they had it and then a representative debunked the idea. Two separate sources. (The article is linked to in the first post.)

Actually I was psychically contacted my JK Rowling through an interstellar trip to Canada. She told me that the title of book seven is, "Harry Potter and the Magical cheese of Wisconsin" Its all true.

You know if I were a famous author like JKR I just might give the title of my next book to the Sun. Think about absolutely no one in the world would ever believe it. It would be so funny. Any ways of the two titles I would believe the Revelation one if it weren't so super chessy.
