Well, sort of ...  The Wales on Sunday newspaper has run an article about Harry Potter and some facts you may or may not know about the series.
One section of the article will be of particular interest to those who participate in the SS School RPG. Quote:
:: The name Voldemort originated from Voldermortist, an evil wizard in medieval times. Legend has it that he tried to destroy Merlin by bewitching good people and bribing those who were already evil. Voldermortist means Lord of Evil or Dark Lord in another language, and Voldemort means "flight of death" (meaning escaping death) in French.
As many of you will know, the current Dark Lord in our School RPG, is called Lord Voldemortist.
