The Daily Mirror have today run another article on J.K.Rowling claiming to reveal the truth about her life. Some of the things do sound a little far fetched so my advice would be take it with a pinch of salt. Quote:

Hmm some of these things...yeah...sound a little out there. But I understand things like keeping her children away from the publicity and I have no doubt that she dresses however the heck she feels like dressing. She says in her interviews that she doesn't get noticed a lot, but I don't think she tries overly-hard to make that happen. I'm sure she doesn't run around screamin at the top of her lungs "I'm Joe Rowling!" but surely she doesn't ride around in cars with blacked-out windows and tells her driver to "dazzle any waiting photographers with the headlights". | |

One of the things that I most like about JK is that she's not like Justin Timberlake and everyone else that buy hundreds of cars or clothes or whatever! She's simple. And I like that!

Yea. Like her, I hate having to draw attention to myself, unless if I happen to want it. Heh, a few days ago, I was rereading book five and several ladies came out saying, "Is that the new Harry Potter book?" Clearly annoyed, I said, "No, it doesn't come out until this Saturday. This only the fifth book." I tautly turned my back on them, not wanting to be disturbed and went someplace else to read it. I was trying to keep a low profile.
It's also good to protect her children as well; who knows that there are people who'd do anything for a ransom. (That would be really, really bad.)

most of it makes sense, but i don't see how the headlights would dazzle reporters. Wouldn't that make her easier to spot and follow?

I have seen JKR in glasgow and she was not dressed in dark clothes she had glasses on jeans and a top just like everyone else...

i read an article in a newpaper at my grandparents house it had a piccy of jo with her husband it talked about jo not wasting her money on designer clothes and other stuff it was really good but i dont know what newspaper!!!

well that's great that she tries to blend in. it seems she's really a great person and puts her family and children's safety before anything else.
if i had that much money, i dunno if i could resist buying designer clothes...i know it sounds really shallow, but i have expensive taste. but good for JK that she doesnt succumb to that.

I hate when people bother others. just because shes a writer doesn't mean she is not a regular person. Why can't people just let her live her life in peace. So what if she wears dark colors and shops at department stores. Maybe it's her style.

i don't think this is a case of interferance.
the paper simply explains at how good and lucky JK is at keeping her life as just that!: her life.
she has been good to keep a limited release on her past.
