| | | The "Do not Disturb sign" has vanished - from the mysterious door at JK's site Summary:
Once again, the infamous sign has been removed - be alert for any changes being made to the site that might contain clues. Article: The "Do not Disturb sign" has vanished
Over at Jo Rowling's official site, the infmouas "Do not disturb" sign has vanished from that door. For now, there is just black behind it, when it opens. But The Leaky Cauldron have said they're keeping an eye on it - we advise you to too in case any updates are made or any new clues are revealed.
Sources over at the Leaky Cauldron comments tell us that if you click around in the "dark" space, you'll find a secret light switch that will reveal something. If you go just below the open door handle, by one space and then take 5-6 to the right, clicking all the while, you'll find it. Clues beyond that are below, highlight to read: The dartboard combination is 713
The safe combination is 302723
EDIT: On the "extras" page, there apparently appears a phone number when peeves comes by. Also, on that page there are new scribblings and a new photo of JK with Goofy.
EDIT 2: Cheats on how to reveal the secret can be found here - you have to highlight the blocks of black.
Also, several versions of the site are actually in the process of being updated, so don't be surprised if it doesn't work right away. It seems fans have caught onto it before we were intended to.
THE EXCERPT IS BELOW! HIGHLIGHT TO READ! He looked rather like an old lion. There were streaks of grey in his mane of tawny hair and his bushy eyebrows; he had keen yellowish eyes behind a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles and a certain rangy, loping grace even though he walked with a slight limp.
JK has also added in her extras page "pick new fan site to win award" - pick us!

I've found the switch! It turns on to reveal a darts board with darts on the side..... I'm trying to figure it out right now.
The light swtch is on the bottom left side! Don't give up looking for it!

You can find what to do with the dartboard at the fansite listed in the article, or you can find the combination out for yourself.

I've got it!
Here are some precise instructions:
Go below the door handle once it opens by one space.
Then move the mouse to the right of that, clicking all the time. It's about 5-6 spaces across from that.
For instructions of what to do beyond this go here.
Highlight here for further instructions: The dartboard combination is 713
The safe combination is 302723 |

Ive just barely found it about two hours ago, and I've been trying to find some clues on the site. I haven't found anything YET. But if I do find clues for the dart board I'll post it for you.
Oh, let me also tell you that there are only three darts on the right side.

You have to place the darts nearest the centre to their corresponding number. The number does have significance in HP, I just can't remember what.

Once you get beyond the safe, here is what it says, this is the clue: He looked rather like an old lion. There were streaks of grey in his mane of tawny hair and his bushy eyebrows; he had keen yellowish eyes behind a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles and a certain rangy, loping grace even though he walked with a slight limp.
To me, it seems to be an excerpt from the HBP storyline that originally was in CoS but was then removed. If she's showing this to us, I think it means it wont be in HBP as otherwise I don't believe she would reveal it.
I do believe it pays homage to the 'Godric is the HBP' theories.
I believe actually it may be Dumbledore's animagus perhaps. The wire-rimmed spectacles seems to link to either Dumbledore or Harry. Or else McGonagall. And it does, judging by colour, relate to Gryffindor and/or a phoenix. The colour grey is what makes me think of Dumbledore.
I don't think anyone should claim it's from HBP. I don't think it's from there because it looks like an excerpt like we've seen before, none of which have ever actually appeared in the official books. It looks like a bit of the CoS/HBP relating storyline that was chucked.
The yellow eyes seems to relate to a snake. I wonder what that means.

I think it's an animagus. At the moment, I'm just throwing all ideas out into the open. My mind is buzzing.
Dumbledore - related colours - grey/Godric clours and the glassses
Harry - related colours + the glasses
McGonagall - grey/related colours & glasses
Godric - related colours, greying, possible flash back
Snake/Slythrin part of personality clear in the yellow eyes. Snakes eyes are yellow, are they not?
possible animagi or any of the above, with Godric being the most likely.

And you can't vote, it just mentions that she has yet to decide on another site to award.
*works on her telepathy*
Give it to us JK!
Karen - the most obvious animal associated with a mane is a lion! That's where I got the Gryffindor thing from! It fits with the colours too. *smacks forehead* I thought that was clear.
The passage even mentioned a lion! |

Jo - please don't be offended by my avatars - I just don't like some of the characterisations in the films. I, however, adore you and your work.
Also, if you stumble upon any of my ff's, I apologise this instant. They're impossible and disgraceful at times; that's mainly how horrific the writing is, it's that bad, that it's scary, but yes, I'm sorry.
I'm paranoid.
