Newsarama features an article discussing the possibility of adapting the Harry Potter series into graphic novels. Quote:
As those who have seen it grow in the last few years know, the graphic novel market has increased in size through a series of small, but steady steps. Harry Potter graphic novels would be a leap unlike anything the market has ever seen. The hunger for Harry Potter graphic novels would spread to other graphic novels for kids, and then to adults. This all isn’t to say that Harry Potter graphic novels are a silver bullet for the ills of the comics industry…but the idea of them is awfully shiny.
Included in the article is also a short interview with David Saylor, providing an insight into Scholastic/Graphix’s plans in that respect, as well as several suggestions for potential HP comics, such as: Rubeus Hagrid: Among Giants, The Marauders or Mischief Managed ("the full-on comedic adventures of Fred and George Weasley").

I think it would be cool, I would read them. Although it wouldn't be JK, I would still love to continue reading something new of HP even though Book 7 will be long gone cause I would have finished it by then

I guess it would be okay, as long as they stay loyal to the concept of the book. But to make it readable, I guess they'd base it off the movie...
Like the Ultimate Spider-Man comics...they based some it off the movie, which by the way are great, but they made it totally different...Peter looks different...so does Flash....in the new comic...Ultimate Spider-Man isn't good...I was dissapointed with it...
