Post The chances of death in HBP

Macleans, a Canadian Magazine, have recently produced an article summing up who is most likely to die in 'Half-Blood Prince'. They rank the Weasley's as highest with Harry Potter being the least likely to pop his clogs.

Quote:
95%: any member of the Weasley family
They are too poor, too good (except the sycophantic Percy) and too numerous not to suffer. Molly Weasley, the mum of the family, is the likeliest candidate. It won't be easy; it took five of Voldemort's Death Eaters to kill her brothers Gideon and Fabian Prewitt. If not her, then one of the jokester twins, Fred and George. Harry's friend Ron will live.
Other candidates include Dumbledore, McGonagall, Neville, Hagrid, Lupin, Hermione and Snape.

I think it mite be Ginny or Dumbledore. I REALLY hope that Hermione doesnt die!! I dont think JK would kill her cause she said hermione is a character based on her when she was younger, and i think she's too fond of her to let her die.

"75%: Albus Dumbledore, Hogwarts headmaster
Yeah, it's obvious, but that doesn't make his death any more unlikely. He's Obi-Wan Kenobi to Harry's Luke Skywalker, complete with long sweeping cloak. Just substitute wands for light sabres and he dies the good death."
- quote from article

I like the comparison he makes there.

I do think Hagrid will die, as much as I hate to say it. He was Harry's first real friend. She's already killed his godfather, I mean the death's will all lead to Harry having the desire to kill Voldemort. Some of the Weasley's will die, it's inevitable, especially since there are 9 of them. Hermione won't die. JK Rowling once said in an interview she wouldn't kill Ron, because she wouldn't kill of Harry's best friend. In the same interview she goes on to say it irritataes her that people don't consider Hermione to be Harry's best friend when she and Ron are his best friends. We can guess by this that she means Hermione won't die either. But then again, if she kills HArry in book seven, then all bets are off and everyone's dying (which, seeing it's considered a children's book, it has a very slim chance of happening).

i know who dies cos i read the book and actually cried , it ain't the weaslys at all and it ain't hagrid , but it is someone that we would least expect to die , not saying eny more might spoil the fun of reading the book, i hate the fact that the character had to die , you just get use to the fact that they are apert of the book and feel kind of sad that they had to die of , but i do hope that the 7th book makes it worth while to see this particular person being killed of in the 6th book!!!!!
