| | |  Swedish & Spanish HBP translation release dates
Tiden, the Swedish HP publisher, announced that they are hoping to release the Swedish translation of the sixth HP book, Harry Potter and Halvblodsprinsen, on December 25, 2005.
This would be a relatively early release for a translation (the Japanese translation of the fifth book wasn't released until this August).
There are also reports that the Spanish translation, depending on the size of the book, could be released as late as March of 2006, despite the fact that the novel is shorter than OotP (less than 38 chapters.)

Well that's kind of sucky. I would be SO bummed if I had to wait that much longer for it! At least they are moving faster on these then they were before!!

I was thinking the same thing...If I had to wait any longer I'd die. Motivation to learn English though isn't it? But at least we have a date...sure beats wondering if it wont be out until 2007 no?

aww, that sucks BIG time, thank god i know english, otherwise i would have to wait until march 2006 to read it, but i prefer it in english anyway, because, i read the spanish translation of Chamber of Secrets and it didn't have the same impact on me as the rest of the books, which i read in english

I cant wait to see how long it will take for the Danish version to come out...Last time when OotP came out it took the Danish translator about 3 months - which was fast..
