| | | The Sun claim to have book 7 title The Sun newspaper, a British tabloid, claim to have the title to the seventh Potter book. They are reporting that the title is either Harry Potter and the Parseltongue Trophy or Harry Potter and the Great Revelation. Needless to say, they're stretching the truth.
These names were in fact registered by WB in July 2003. Every time a name is registered (and there are many of them) an article is always published claiming that that title belongs to a new Potter book. When, in fact, this is nearly always untrue.
The title of ' Half-Blood Prince' was also registered at that time, most likely because it was a tentative title for ' Chamber of Secrets'. Quote:
A spokesman for Christopher Little, literary agent for J.K.Rowling said last night: "These are names registered a couple of years ago. Fans should not read too much into them. So far J.K.Rowling has not announced any names for the seventh book."
To read more on the issue go here.
A scan of the article can be viewed here.
Please keep in mind that the only official sources on book titles are J.K.Rowling, Bloomsbury and Scholastic.

Hehe I sent this in too but Marcella bet me to it. For the summary I put: "The Sun shines on the 7th book title, or does it?" I just got attached to it.
But anyway, I think this proves yet again what we all think if The Sun.(see I'm not giving anything away, so nobody from The Sun can see if we like them or not. Maybe they'll run a story now on the rumour that SS's favourite newspaper is actually The Sun )

OMG The sun and all it's lies. I would believe The Great Revelation but not Parseltongue trophy.

| Harry Potter and the Parseltongue Trophy O.o that sounds a bit odd doesn't it? *lol* As for Harry Potter and the Great Revelation hey now, I could go for that one! Well, we won't know until J.K. decides to release the (real) title. Only time will tell . |

I could go for the Revelation one too! However this comes from the Sun, so I think that I'll take that with a "grain of salt" and laugh at their attempts at reporting news!

Rumors... argh... I hate them (even though I read them 'cause sometimes they're true)... the Revelation is cooler than the other one I guess. But still... I don't know...
Well, we've got to wait until JK actually decides the title.

It makes so much sense for JK (a well respected and clever lady) to be involved in private relations with a british tabloid - of which has an impeciable record of delivering accurate information!
Looks like the Sun couldn't get enought companies to advertise in their paper to fill up the space.
An equation for the Sun getting things right can be illustrated as thus: |

Lol. The Sun is a tabloid. We have one of these like this in America...they did an article that the Titantic finally docked a few weeks ago. I buy them once in a while when I need a laugh. Anyways, the Sun sure does alot of tabloids about Harry Potter. But then-maybe JKR is giving them the info because it seems like the Muggle version of the Quibbler! Isn't the Sun the magazine that was offered the stolen HBP copy....? | |

I don't believe "The Sun" for a minute. I doubt JK would release the title of the much-awaited seventh book before the sixth book is even out yet.

I get the impression that the Quibbler is a lot more credible than The Sun. Quote:

Yes. And the publication that reported that computers were being used to erase spots from the actors in GoF. And they also reported on GoF with something like 10 errors in the article. They're a joke.
And yet they get to interview the trio! (Or at least they did last year!)
