| | | Stephen King: "Harry Potter is for grown-ups, you dweebs!"
In the 19th of November issue of Entertainment Weekly, Stephen King, an author and avid fan of the Potter series has once again been very vocal about his love for the novels and has rather eloquently pointed out a misconception to do with Rowling's books. Quote:
"I'm thankful that 'Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell', by Susanna Clarke, was almost as good as its lyrical first reviews...but it's not Harry Potter for grown-ups, as so many of them said. Harry Potter is Harry Potter for grown-ups, you dweebs."

I get EW, and when I read that bit, I ran over to my mother and was like, "Look at this! See! This man knows!"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Ottery St. Catchpole Third Year | HP not just for grown ups anymore... Paris is ♥♥♥ Gone With the Wind And just last week I was calling him a kiss...well of brown nosing. Color me repentant. That is true though...why is it people still call them kid's books, maybe because Scholastic won't give them more dignified covers. I like the British picture covers those are pretty cool. I stand...well sit actually...corrected, you're cool too Mr. King.

He's right , as the book grows the characters kinda mature so in this case little children should'nt read HP as the book grows.

Right on Stephen!!! A great author whom I have been reading since I was 9 years old of course. Just because Harry Potter doesn't have strong adult themes doesn't mean adults can't like them. To me it's refreshing and it covers the process of growing from 11-year-old kids, then teenagers and by book 7 they should be 17 which is an age most pretty much consider one to be an adult. Also the books regard important subjects like the battle between good and evil along with discrimination. These books are for everyone regardless of age, colour or whether your a bloke or a lass. I am an adult who loves Harry Potter and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
