There is something quite dated and beautiful about the Tom Riddle diary prop replica, its in leather-bound cover, and of course, Tom's full name etched across the back cover on a leather label. The pages inside, while they are of course, crisp and flat, as brand-new diaries tend to be, have a feel of old parchment, as one would use in the Harry Potter books (a bit funny given the original diary was retrieved at a muggle shop in London by Riddle in the series). The pages are yellowish and aged, as a bit several decades old would be, and definitely looks better than the copy both Ginny Weasley and Harry Potter held in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

While it is a great book to write in - though personally it would be a better book for an artist to scribble, scrawl and draw in, as the pages are flat and blank - as it was once a destroyed Horcrux, one would hope that the copy sold from the Warner Bros shop was the one shown at the end of Chamber of Secrets. Practically it is useful for consumers, as they can write and draw in it, but as a Harry Potter fan, one would hope that there were a couple of gaping holes in the middle, punctured by a basilisk fang, and the stains of ink that had poured out of it.

Alas, the copies are more for use than for display, which may help the writer or artist a bit more than the Harry Potter collector. Even still, it is a gorgeous diary to own (lack of ink stains notwithstanding).

And no worries, there are no remnants of Tom Riddle's soul still in the diary (unless you prefer that, in which case purchasing the diary may be the least of your concerns)!
