The Aberdeen Press and Journal reports on a valuable discovery at a local book shop. A Harry Potter bookmark signed by J.K. Rowling was recently donated to the
Blythswood Care Bookshop and will be auctioned off to benefit the Christian charity store. Those interested must submit their bids via envelope. A picture of the bookmark may be seen at the newspaper's website.

Mr Thain said he was “absolutely certain” that the signature on the bookmark, which is addressed to a fan, is genuine.
He said he checked out J K Rowling’s signature on websites to ensure its authenticity. He said: “I don’t know how much it is worth. I would guess £50, but I will leave that for others to decide. Whatever we raise it will go to a good cause.”
