A signed first edition copy of GoF has fetched £30,000 ($48,000) in an auction at Sotheby's, New York. The book had been personalized by JKR and given to her father in 2000. As well as this, a first edition presentation copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, signed by JK Rowling for her father and stepmother, sold for £11,000, well below the expected price tag.

It would be cool if it did go to Charity, noticing that JK does alot for charity its a high possibility. She has said in interviews that she feels she has too much money and finds it quite embarrassing at times so I don't think it would go to her.
