| | | Severus Snape found NOT guilty at Accio
A mock trial was held at Accio 2005 (the UK's first Potter Conference) in which the character Severus Snape faced 4 charges. He was found not guilty on all counts. The charges he faced can be read here. Quote:
As might well be expected, Professor Snape was found not guilty on three of the charges placed before the court at the Accio UK conference, one charge was dismissed for lack of evidence.
It is highly likely that the jury was rigged, as most of those pronouncing him not guilty on all charges were dressed in black, with the odd flash of green and sported long black hair and were drooling slightly at the corner of their mouths.
PLEASE keep in mind the spoiler ban is still active You may discuss this in the HBP Spoiler forum in the appropriate threads.

There are some great clues that he is innocent but I shall withhold judgement until after I read book 7 for the simple reason, we don't have all the fact yet.

May I also remind everyone that the event was organised by ACADEMICS. Respect their opinion people.
I would've voted the same!
*jumps on the 'not guilty' bandwagon*
It would be really cool if Jo commented on this on her site.

The evidence we have points to guilty. But since there is reasonable doubt... I SUPPOSE he can be not guilty for now.
But if at the end of 7th it turns out he was!!! THERE WILL BE PAYBACK! Though I'm not sure how that's going to work out, since he's a character in a book....

That, my dear Watson, is down to what evidence you're looking at. I'd say there's far more to the contrary.

Ahaha. I can just imagine the jurors with their banners.
Still, I think it's awesome. :sorcerer:

No, HBP too. They initially had 3 charges but after the 6th book they added a fourth.

| If there were any members in the jury who say Snape IS guilty, I can practically hear them say "He is the culprit to boot!" Ah, well, I am in two minds now... |
