A local newspaper reports that Laura Linney and Rupert Grint were seen rehearsing for the film 'Driving Lessons' in a dance studio in Highgate. Quote:
MORE proof that Highgate is becoming the favourite spot for Hollywood's elite emerged this week.
Following Sharon Stone's visit to Pond Square last month to film scenes from Basic Instinct 2, two more stars were spotted in Highgate Road.
American actress Laura Linney, who starred in Love Actually, was spotted rehearsing in the Expressions dance studio for a new film called Driving Lessons. She is working on the film with Rupert Grint, famous for creating the role of Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies.

Dance studio kind of threw me too. Maybe they're dancing, maybe they were just using it for rehearsals. Who knows. It's not about driving (as in a car) though because the character is 16 and hence too young to drive (as is Rupert).

I live in Pennsylvania (U.S.) and teens can get their permit at 16. They have to have their permit for six months and then they can get a liscense. A permit allows them to drive with an adult (over 21 i think) that has a full liscence.
Anyway, It wonder when the movie comes out. I loooooooove that red haired english boyo. lol. It's good that he is getting out there and making other films. Has Dan or Emma done any other films besides HP?

That's what I thought at first but earlier it says ... "two more stars were spotted in Highgate Road." so that indicates he was there too. Quote:

I love Rupert and I hope he will be the best actor in this film. He is really good. I want to see him different from Ron's character. I know that the role he will act will be different of course..but what I mean is when I see the film i would like to see Rupert to Ron. i wanna see him in an evil role once. Not comdey roles only.

Im googling "Driving Lessons" right now to find out more. I found That Rupert is to play a son of a vicar and overprotective mother. Then he meets a retired actress and his world changes. lol.

I think it's golf. Rupert couldn't start learning to drive till August and wouldn't pass until several months after that. Quote:

It's a bad piece of writing, no doubt, but who cares? I'm sure he was there whether he was rehearsing or not. I'm sure the majority - if not all scenes - with Laura Linney will have Rupert too since she is playing his mother. Well, his characters' mother.
Any ways, it's great to have some DL news. Even if it's small, it's always nice.  | |
