| | |  Rupert Grint to do 'Driving Lessons'?
The Rod Hall Agency Limited is currently reporting that Rupert Grint (Ron) and Julie Walters (Mrs. Weasley) are 'attached' to the upcoming film Driving Lessons, which will be written and directed by Jeremy Brock. Quote:
Jeremy is currently preparing for his first film as Writer/Director - DRIVING LESSONS - produced by Julia Chasman (RubberTreePlant) and Ed Pressman (ContentFilm). Julie Walters, Rupert Grint and Laura Linney are attached to star.
The director/writer has also previously worked with Michael Gambon (Professor Dumbledore). Quote:
CHARLOTTE GRAY, which Jeremy adapted from the Sebastian Faulkes novel for Ecosse Films and Film Four, was directed by Gillian Armstrong starring Cate Blanchett (who described hers as "the best part written for an actress in the past twenty years"), Billy Crudup and Michael Gambon and was released in 2001.
This will remain rumour untill it is confirmed by someone representing Rupert.

lol, that would be great! I havent seen Rupert in anything other than the HP movies(well, considering he's only done one other, it's not that big of a deal, lol) I hope he is in this!

Yeah, Thunderpants, the film, sort of really sucked. Rupert was about the only thing that gave the film some sort of life to it. He was simply hilarious. After having voiced Peter Pan earlier this month for "Harry Birthday Peter Pan" I really hope he continues to do more stuff outside of Harry Potter. After all, he isn't just a pretty face, you know.

*Ottery's First reaction* Driving lessons? Why would he want driving lessons, I thought people in Europe used the metro...then, why doesn't he do like we do in Texas, jump in your car pick a lonely backroad and keep at it until you don't hit cows anymore... *after reading the article* Oh!  Well if he's in it, that would be a good thing, but why do I know Driving Lessons, is this based on a book? And it's about golf isn't it? The voice was brilliant - proved he's a good actor who can change his appearance and accent to best suit a character. I thought he was brilliant in that even if the role was a little, okay, very much so, nerdy.
And I suppose knowing someone would only serve to encourage him to do it.
Also, with having finished school last year, what's compulsory of it, he's got more time or so I'd imagine. That probably also means he's no longer involved in the Child Labour Laws.
