The current issue of French magazine ONE has a spread on Order of the Phoenix, including a lengthy interview with Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. They discuss working with director David Yates (OotP) versus Mike Newell (GOF), and whether or not Emma will continue with the HP series. Quote: How is David Yates, director of Order of the Phoenix, different from the other directors you’ve worked with?
Emma: David is very exact and very meticulous when it comes to how we act. He is always looking for perfection and is not afraid to shoot the same scene several times until our performance is perfect. It is often tiring, but I feel I have progressed as an actress.
Rupert: Comparing to Mike Newell, director of Goblet of Fire, David is really calm. He always keeps his cool, which wasn’t always the case with Mike. If we couldn’t do exactly what he wanted, or if we got one of our lines wrong, he would raise his voice or even tell us off. I must admit I found him a bit scary sometimes (laughs). David is more patient and calmer.
You have just finished filming the fifth Harry Potter movie. Do you want to do the next two?
Rupert: Yes, definitely. Quitting the adventure now would be such a shame. Also, I don’t think I could stand seeing somebody else in the role of Ron! It would hurt!
Emma: I haven’t taken any decision yet. I am still unsure as to play Hermione in the next two movies. Each movie takes 10 months of our year, during which we barely see our friends. It is really exhausting. And I am thinking about my education. I would like to go to university … So I am still thinking about it.
Rupert: It would be silly to stop when you are doing so well. To be honest, playing opposite somebody else than you would feel really weird. When we filmed the fourth movie you said the same thing. I think you will keep on doing the Harry Potter movies.
Emma: You may be right … (laughter)

well...yeah Emma has said she doesnt know wether shell be doing HP for like all the other ones during the other HPs she wasnt about to go to College/University so i dont know what shes going to decide

Meticulous! Bah. Yeah, fine, maybe about your acting. But not about the content of the film or about staying true to the book. Then again, I suppose that's not really his desicion anyway, but he definitely has some say in it, seeing as he's the director.
Aw, Emma! Please play Hermione in the next two movies! It would be strange to change to a new actress now, and you can always go to university later in your life. I know you have high goals, but you are a wonderful actress and this is part of your life now. I would think it would be impossible to stop playing such an amazing role with so many people looking up to you! Please, play Hermione in the next two movies! | |

To be quite honest and blunt I don't like Emma. I think she's a terrible Hermione and I agree with you that I would not mind her being replaced. Actually, I think I would be overjoyed. My friend sent her headshots in, because they're looking for oe just in case Emma drops out (which I frankly think is most likely.)

Emma: Everything is possible. I don’t know if Ron or Hermione will die in the last book, but it sounds very probable to me that they will share a kiss.
