| | |  Rumour: Dan Radcliffe to be young 007?
The rumour has risen before and was previously debunked. Now it has reared its head again. According to Contact Music Dan Radcliffe is in the running to play a young James Bond in a film about the 007's early years. Quote:
A source says, "Daniel Radcliffe would be perfect but they are also looking at Jamie Bell. They want to make the young Bond a bit older so they can have one of those two names."
Please keep in mind this is just a rumour. Dan is due to film ' December Boys' in the later months of this year. After that he is expected to return as Harry for ' Order of the Phoenix' which starts shooting in January/February 2006. It is very likely that this rumour will be debunked again. Well right now he doesn't have the time. 'December Boys' will take a few weeks, then there's Christmas and then he'll be doing OotP for like 11 months. Mind you this project's been talked about for MONTHS so it makes me wonder if it's ever even going to get off the ground  The rate it's going he might be free when it actually starts shooting  | |

Well if the rumor is true, that would be kind of interesting to see Dan as James Bond. Although I do think that he would pull off the role rather nicely. Lol. Still the chances of that are very slim. I mean with everything else that Dan has already.

I believe OotP will not take 11 months to film like the the others HP films, the time frame for the other films was that long bcoz the main star was underage so he couldn't work longer hours, now Daniel is 16 so he can work longer hours, which is why the shooting will not be that long, maybe 6 months or a bit more...about the rumor, well I like the idea of him as a young James Bond, but we will have to wait and see if this is another of those rumors!!

Ooh I would love it if Dan was the next 007! hahah that would rock But he has two other films, so that would take up all of his time. ooh could you imagine Dan as 007?! there would be a fierce battle and right when it gets to the part where he needs to kiss the girl (as all 007 movies do), out pops Emma Watson, crying that "her" man is kissing someone else! Then the director yells "Cut! Geez, that's the 22nd time you've done that, Emma! Get off the set!!!!"

He can but not if he's doing A Levels. Several reports have suggested he will be so he'll need tutoring once more on the HP sets, if that's the case. Even if it doesn't take 11 months it's still going to take the majority of 2006 to film. I can't see a HP film ever taking as little as 6 months to film.
Even if he could do this project, I don't think he should. It's another franchise; he's better off doing dramas like 'December Boys' where he's more likely to get proper acclaim for his acting.
