Rumors of dragons in Glenfinnan Article:
Article from Wizard News.
Written by by Marjorie Dawson, Wizard News UK Correspondent
The short report details the possibility of filming having gone on in the Fort William region. Apparently a member of staff mentioned that the first task might be filmed there. The writer also says they will be giving another report from a trip on the Hogwarts Express.
However, according to Daniel Radcliffe in an interview, he said he had already done the scenes with the dragon. This could mean the shots will be of scenery in which the dragon flies around etc... As of yet this information is uncomfirmed by WB.

I would have thought that they would do most of that scene with a green screen, but i guess they have to film the stands and what not. Very interesting, I cant wait to see pics!

And with the great scenery there is in Scotland, there's not much point in creating CGI mountains when they can just go up there and film the real thing.

| When i read the book i always imagined the first task to be held in the quidditch pitch with the flying and all. I dont feel that there is any point to real scenery in that shot and most of it will probably be done in CGI any way so might as well put it in when they are doing that. :sorcerer: |

Problem is Columbus put it on flat ground which was a bit wrong of him because Hogwarts is in Scotland and, as we saw in PoA, is rightly in the countryside which is mountainous.

i would think they would use real scenary, since they have beautiful scenary in Scotland. i was under the impression that they had already filmed the first task also. i can't wait to see the dragon though, it should be an amazing film!

The scenary is always important in movies and especially in Harry Potter. But I'm looking forward to seeing the dragons more! I hope they succeed with the special effects, because it's one of the coolest scenes in the book. I'm even looking forward to the underwater task.
