Great news Guys! DVDAnswers.com has gave away some details about the upcoming DVD release of POA. Quote: We've managed to obtain some early details on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban which stars Daniel Radcliffe as the now legendary wizard. The disc will be available to own from the 23rd November this year, and should set you back around $22.95. As well as an anamorphic widescreen presentation and English Dolby Digital 5.1 track, the disc will include exclusive never-before seen footage, a Creating The Vision feature which includes a revealing interview with author J.K. Rowling, three new interactive challenges in which you can test your memory with "Magic You May Have Missed", help Crookshanks "Catch Scabbers" and go venture on an unexpected quest with Sir Cadogan. Other features will include self guided tours of Honeydukes and Professor Lupin's Classroom, interviews with the cast and more. We'll bring you some further details, along with the official region one artwork shortly. Stay tuned. TLC added that, as convincing as this all sounds, they've still received no comfirmation from WB, as to whether the date is true or not, so for now it remains rumor. |

This was my fovorite book out of the series so far, and since I didn't like the movie, I'm hoping the DVD will be better.

I love DVD's (totally obsessed, lol) and so I'm buying it even tho I didn't like the movie but it sounds a lot like the other two so far. I didn't like them all I do is watch the movies and sometimes the cast interviews. I really hope we get a few commentary's (esp Cast!) like we wanted. that would make me buy it.

I hate all these rumors, why can't they just come forward and confirm or deny something.

I'm just tired of these blasted DVDs not including a commentary track.
It shouldn't be too much trouble to get a cast, director and screenwriter commentary. If not all that then at least a directors one.
I would hope for the trio and Alfonso and Steve. And maybe Chris of course.

I'd love a commentary version of the film, "Love Actually" had one and yeah a mobile phone went off and there was a lot of cattiness but it was amusing and gave an insight into the film-makers and actors personality.
I guess with the kids, they just don't have the time to sit and comment on the film, but I don't see why Alfonso and some other producing crew couldn't.

They really should put one in because I would like to hear what Daniel Radcliffe and the others have to say about the movie.
Call me crazy but with the commentary I feel like I learning more about the people.

DVDanswers is a respectable site, so I'm taking this as fact. That's exciting... I want to tour Professor Lupin's room, and the feautrettes and never before seen footage are always cool.

It is a fake. At danradcliffe.com there is a link with a picture on. It is obviously artwork as one the previous two the side was decorated in year one, year two, ect. On this one there isn't. Also the HARRY POTTER writing on the top is in gold, we know for a fact that in this movie, the writing was done in silver.
I think its obvious.
But thats just my opinion!

Hmm, well I work at a Hollywood Video here and I'm not sure if November sounds right... Usually movies take about 3-4 months to come out to video and POA is just leaving the theatre here in Oregon... SO November sounds about right.
Anyway I loved the movie, its was nice to see the story finally after reading the book... Not that I don't think the books are better. But it would be hard to make the movies and not leave something out, right? At least they've done a good job with what they can fit.
So my point is I'm excited too, to see the deleted scenes... And I'd love to hear some commentaries on this one... Since the director made them write essays on their characters before starting maybe they'll have more to say this time!

^^ Of course the kids don't have time to comment on a two and half hour film, but I'm sure they would love to do it...

I suppose commentary in the HP movies might be nicer than the extended version of LoTR, there were very long pauses in those commentaries. That probably won't happen with PoA, though the movie was way too fast paced compared to the book. So, i suppose I'm all for commentary!
