| | |  Rumor: Michael Hoffman to direct HBP?
New director rumors for 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' have surfaced online. According to Dark Horizons, director Michael Hoffman is in negotiations to direct the sixth Harry Potter film. The Hawaiian native is known for his work directing such films as A Midsummer Night's Dream, Soapdish, The Emperor's Club, and Restoration. Quote:
An official announcement is expected on the helmer sometime before Christmas.

That's funny... I read that David Yates was to direct HBP, in addition to OotP. It also says here that he is. *shrug*

I have never heard of him either. Why can't the HP series ever have just one director direct more than one. Chris Columbus has been the only one to direct 2 so far.

I recognise the Emperor's Club and it was alright. I didn't think it was that great. I'm not enthusiastic about this choice but as long as he's able to properly convey HBP, I guess it doesn't matter who directs it. Other directors have been a flop (in my opinion) so far.
