| | |  Rumor: Half-Blood Prince casting
If Magazine is reporting that actors Joseph Fiennes, Stuart Townsend and Naomi Watts are all signed on for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
There’s no word on which characters that might be playing but, for what it’s worth, there were previous rumors about Naomi Watts possibly portraying Narcissa Malfoy.
We have contacted Warner Bros. and will let you know if they confirm or deny this rumor.

Townsend is young (30 years old) and played in some TV shows and had parts in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen & Queen of the damned. He is very handsome and I think he could be playing Tom Sr.
Fienes as a young Voldemort would make sense as he looks alot like how I pictured young Tom.
Filming starts in September for HBP so we don't have long to wait to find out.

Yeh I can totally see Naomi as Narcissa, though she is quite youngish. It would make sense to have Ralph Feinnes' brother playing Tom Riddle Sr. as he it would show an obvious family link. | |

Yes, it is safe to say that if these rumors are true, Naomi Watts is definitely Narcissa Malfoy. There was a big story about it a few months ago.
Joseph Fiennes, like many speculate, could, in fact, play a young Tom Riddle Sr. That would be actually very cool to have them both in the same film...and play relatives! You never know. He could even be cast as Voldemort when he goes back to ask Dumbledore for a job. *shrug* It's a thought.
As for Stuart Townsend, he made a very horrifying vampire. He's definitely got a great "evil" look. I would not be surprised if Townsend was cast as Greyback, the psycho werewolf.

Aye, Townsend as Tom Sr. would make a lot of sense. Joseph F. as young Voldemort makes even more...It leaves me wondering who would be best for The new Potion's teacher? That is a speculation I would love to see explored. Perhaps Michael Caine?

That'd be so great if they came! I think Stuart Townsend was supposed to play Aragorn in LotR before Viggo Mortenson came. And that'd be sweet to see Naomi Watts as Narcissa, though I think Nicole Kidman would be a good choice.
