In an update to the J.K.Rowling & Warner Brothers vs. RDR Books case, regarding a fan encyclopaedia produced by the Harry Potter Lexicon, Rowling's lawyers have now viewed a manuscript of the book and are still
seeking a preliminary injunction.
RDR Books have
claimed they "repeatedly offer[ed] to settle this case to Ms. Rowling's satisfaction and publish the book," but apparently no agreement has been made.
Some deadlines for the case have been
set - Jo & W.B. have to file motions for the preliminary injunction today. RDR Books have until Nov. 15th to respond to that - Jo & W.B. then have to respond to their response by Nov. 19th. A "show cause hearing" has been arranged for Nov. 19th in New York.
