J.K.Rowling and husband Neil Murray have won a privacy case against the Sunday Express which could have implications for other newspapers who publish photographs of famous people's children.
Represented by Schillings, a media law firm, they sued over the publication of a picture of their son, David. Quote: |
Senior partner Keith Schilling said: “This case demonstrates that the law is moving to recognize that the children of public figures are entitled to private lives, and, most importantly, to enjoy their childhood without unwanted media intrusion.”

She was right about starting a case against them.
They shouldn't have posted those pictures without her permission.
A child shouldn't be surrounded by annoying paparazzi all the time.

i remember when she was pregenant with Mackenzie all the UK sunday papers printed a picture of her pushing david in his buggy! that was wrong it isnt safe for her little children to be photographed nor is it fare that she should have to go to cort to get the privacy we all take for granted | |

That is good. Poeple's privacy is important, and rightfully theirs. She should not have to deal with the public if they do not want to. They entertain us , and then we abuse that entertainment sometimes, and we should be respectful of their right to live.  | |

I am glad that she won her case against the paper. Children should be protected at all cost. Exspecially in this day and age. Yes she is a famous person and it is something she wanted for herself, the children should have never been involved. Some famous people use their kids to stay in the limelight . I am so proud of her that she chose not to.
