One Face casting agency is reporting in a press release that Stuart Hastings has been cast in the role of young Lupin for ' Order of the Phoenix'. A picture of the actor can be seen here.
Please be aware that until this is confirmed or denied it remains a rumour.

he's ok, but hopefully he's a really good actor. Lupin is one of my favorite characters, and hopefully will be represented well

Well if it is confirmed that he will play young Lupin. Then there will be a young Sirius, James, Snape, and Lily at some point too. The only reason they would have a young Lupin is for the scene for Snape's memory.

Wait? so now they're going to have young!Remus? What about young!Sirius?
This is a surprise coz I thought they weren't going have either of them at all.
Once I get over the shock I will be MAJORLY happy coz my love for Lupin knows no bounds...*sigh* alas it is only a rumour...
Just saw the pic. Very cute (*sigh* *shakes head* My love for long hair is now official...) but as Remus? I don't know. Maybe after make up and costume...He's probably very talented for all I know. Only a rumour but yeah I don't mind

hmm he looks oaky, and maybe with some make-up and if his hair was a little shorter(because i cant picture Remmie with that long hair) he could be oaky, i guess, but what about Sirius??!?!?!

he's not really what i expected as a young remus but we'll just have to see if this is true or not. hope it's true cause i really want young remus and sirius in the movie.

There was a rumour that Lupin and Sirius would be cut from that scene leaving it just with James, Lily and Snape. And that they were adding a scene with young Pettigrew and Snape discussing Voldemort.
