The Times have listed young British actors who Screen International think will be big stars of the future. In their article they've included Robert Pattinson who will be Cedric Diggory in ' Goblet of Fire'. Quote:

With no big-screen experience, Robert Pattinson beat a host of other actors to the part of Hogwarts head boy and all-round good guy Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, due out this year. His only other screen work was in the TV film Sword of Xanten, broadcast in America last year.
This fresh-faced, photogenic 18-year-old so oozes charm and likeability that casting directors are predicting a big future. Despite his initiation via Harry Potter, Pattinson cites Tim Burton and Todd Solondz as directors he admires for “breaking boundaries”.

Wow-i agree. he looks A LOT older than what he is. i would have said he'd be in his early 20s. he does seem like the charming sort aswell tho.

Sweet! He seems like he would be older than 18 though, early 20's I'd say, at the most. He seems like such a nice guy, too.

It is hard to believe he's only 18. I thought he was older than that. Although I remember when we first got pictures of him and someone on, I think HPANA, said he looked old, "Like he's in his 20s." Which made me feel quite ancient suddenly... lol
But isn't this article a bit wrong? I mean, we haven't *seen* him any thing, but he was doing stuff prior to HP. Won't he be in other films first?

Well he was in that American thing and 'Vanity Fair' and 'Kingdom in Twilight' which is due out soon. I suppose 'big' means epic.

Usually 'big-screen' means movies that come out in theatres and Vanity Fair did just that. *shrugs* Maybe they didn't do good research. lol

He definatly seems older that that in Vanity Fair. His acting skills in that movie were good. The movie itself...yuk! Boring! Owell...I think he will be a great addition to the HP cast. Completly fits the bill to play Cedric! Cutie!
